Careers As a firm we can trace our roots back to the first Accountancy practice to be established in Palmerston North. We are a medium sized company based in purpose built offices on Broadway Avenue. Development Our team members are our greatest resource, and as such, we invest a considerable amount of time and money into their development. To ensure staffing levels of personnel who have achieved and maintain the skills and competencies required to enable them to fulfil their responsibilities, we maintain an active, continuing professional development programme for all team members. Attendance at courses and training sessions run by PKF NZ, NZICA, TEO, independent training providers and in-house sessions are scheduled and planned each year. We also have a formal recording system in place to monitor hours and type of training received. This information is used to plan the training schedule for the next year. We review files in such a manner as to provide on-going on-the-job training. Regular team meetings are conducted to plan and schedule workflow, as well as to discuss and resolve problems encountered. We ensure that all team members have access to the appropriate resources, and have Partner involvement on all assignments, not just at the planning and review stages. We have a structure within our team where everyone has access to a more senior/qualified team member as a supervisor/mentor, and we use standardised programmes designed specifically for the industry we are working with. Currently we do not have a graduate recruitment programme |
