Maryann joined Rutherfords in September 2002. She works with a wide range of businesses; from farmers to retailers, from sole traders to branches of international companies.
Maryann provides support with business and share valuations, business coaching, installing and assisting with bookkeeping software, and managing the day-to-day accountancy functions for businesses when their accountant is unavailable.
Maryann has lived in Palmerston North for most her life, graduating from Massey University with a degree in Accountancy in May 1998. She received her qualification as a Chartered Accountant in July 1998.
Apart from a seven-month temporary transfer to Auckland, Maryann has worked in Palmerston North – spending from 1989 to 2001 working for an international accounting firm in the Business Services, Business Growth and Taxation areas.
For 16 months Maryann was the Financial Services Manager for a local government department where she learnt valuable skills in managing the team responsible for the day to day running of the financial systems.
Outside of work Maryann, is a volunteer and committee member with the local SPCA, is currently renovating her house, shows her two Birman cats and likes to relax with a good book and at least one of her cats either on or around her.
